I´ve never seen a full episode of The Wire and quite frankly the series never hit it with me, even tough I´ve read nothing but praise for it. I may still try to see it on DVD but it’s not looking too good considering the huge backlog of movies, series and XBOX (regular, not 360) games waiting under my TV.
Nevertheless, I love this quote. This is how everybody should be aproaching their craft. Don’t dumb down your art in an effort to make it a more marketable product.
